Haven Cooper
Artist & developing creative technologist · Orlando, FL
Haven Cooper, who creates under the moniker Kem Khonsu, is a multidisciplinary artist and producer whose work bridges non-vocal electronic music, visual art, and physical hardware design. Grounded in synth-pop, trap, and alt-pop, their compositions rely on textured soundscapes, dynamic rhythms, and modular arrangements in place of vocal leads.
Alongside music production, Kem explores studio painting, digital illustration, fine art, and custom circuit design, building hardware tools and analog/digital instruments that inform their creative process. Whether through physical schematics, visual canvases, or synthesized frequencies, their practice examines the intersection of technology, tactile design, and immersive atmosphere.
Genre & focus: Electronic pop, synth-pop, and trap production.
Approach: Crafting atmospheric soundscapes through synthesized instrumentation, drum programming, and hardware manipulation rather than vocal arrangements.
Hardware / tech: Designing and assembling custom audio gear, including Arduino-based sequencers and circuit prototyping.
Mediums: Digital illustration (Procreate, Canva, Adobe Creative Suite), traditional studio painting, pottery, and mixed media.
Style & themes: Focused on elemental forms, atmospheric lighting, and high-contrast composition across physical canvas and digital screens.
Technical design: Schematics (NI Multisim), basic CAD design, and system flow layouts.
